MIAC: three days at the heart of the paper industry
MIAC: three days at the heart of the paper industry
Every year in Lucca, one event brings together paper, board and tissue manufacturers with the companies that design and supply the technologies behind their production processes. It is MIAC – International Exhibition of the Paper Industry, returning to Polo Fiere Lucca from 7 to 9 October 2026.
This is not a general-purpose trade show. It is a highly specialised event, where exhibitors and visitors speak the same technical language and discussions quickly move from commercial presentations to application-specific details: which fluid, at what viscosity, at which stage of the process, and with which wetted materials.
PCHEM will be exhibiting with its own stand, bringing its expertise to this specialised setting: pumps and equipment for the transfer, dosing and handling of industrial fluids.
Fluids in the paper industry: additives, adhesives and dyes
For PCHEM, MIAC is a natural fit. Wherever fluids need to be transferred, dosed or handled safely, our pumps are already at work.
In the paper industry, this means dealing with a particularly demanding range of products:
- Process chemicals and additives, often corrosive or reactive
- Glues and adhesives, with high viscosity and a tendency to harden inside the lines
- Dyes and pigments, where dosing accuracy has a direct impact on the final result
- Chemicals for water treatment and recovery processes
These fluids can be aggressive, viscous or delicate — sometimes all three at once. Each application therefore requires reliable systems and, above all, solutions engineered around the specific process requirements. Wetted-material compatibility, pulsation control and the ability to run dry without damage are not secondary details: they are key factors in ensuring process continuity.
What you’ll find at the PCHEM stand in Lucca
At the stand, you’ll find the complete PCHEM range and, above all, our technical specialists: people you can speak with directly about your process requirements, from pump selection through to the design of customised systems.
- Air-operated pumps — air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps and piston pumps for viscous fluids or high-pressure applications
- Electric pumps — direct-drive canned motor pumps and magnetic-drive pumps for leak-free fluid transfer
- Air-operated devices — pulsation dampeners and process valves to stabilise flow and protect the system
- Flow meters and level indicators, plus accessories to complete the installation
In Lucca from 7 to 9 October
Three days entirely dedicated to the paper industry, and a space to discuss industrial pumps directly with the people who develop, select and support them in the field.
- 7–9 October 2026
